Invitation to a TEA PARTY!

As an American tax payer, you are cordially invited to a tea party to be held nation-wide on Wednesday, April 15, 2009.  Since our last national tea party was held on December 16, 1773 in Boston harbor, this one is well over due.  As was the case with the Boston Tea Party, this tea party will be commemorating the expenditure of your hard earned tax dollars over the past year.

The featured highlights of the party will include such memorable events as:

1.                  The Troubled Asset Relief Program, (T.A.R.P.) which spent 700 billion of your dollars, and no one can really tell you where all that money went or what it did.  Not to worry, there are hundreds of billions of more dollars where that came from.

2.                  The nationalization of much of America’s private industry.  Congratulations, you are now a part owner of countless U.S. banks and financial institutions, not to mention G.M. and Chrysler.  To celebrate, you might want to go out and buy a new car from yourself.

3.                  The presidential inauguration for Barack Obama which cost 400% more than any other presidential inauguration in history.  Wasn’t it worth it just to see Aretha Franklin in that stylish hat!  Maybe she’ll wear that to the tea party?  The fact that the media stole the election as confirmed by a Pew Research Center study is also worth commemorating.

4.                  Of course, the party wouldn’t be complete without toasting our new Secretary of the Treasury, Timothy Geithner.  As an admitted, serial tax evader who failed to pay his income tax for four years in a row, even after he was informed by the I.R.S. that he owed back tax, he is sure to be the life of the party.

Just look at how far your hard earned dollars have gone this past tax year!  You don’t have to be in Boston to join this year’s tea party, you just need to be an American tax payer.

Being from the Boston area, let me just add that our governor Deval Patrick, aka Devil Patrick, aka Obama-wannabe, is going to plummet our local economy right into the depths. For all I know, it’s a grand plot to make whatever Obama does look good.

You did forget one criteria for being invited to this Tea Party – you can only mention your father’s heritage, not your mother’s. If I had a dollar for every time Obama’s Kenyan father was mentioned without any hint that a woman actually gave birth and raised him, I myself could wipe out the current deficit. Again, thanks to the Media, Inauguration coverage was filled with left-leaning commentary about a day which, in and of itself, needed no further embellishment. Of course, it’s written on Obama’s face that one of his parents was black. It’s a shame that the educated and now deceased woman who raised him, who undoubtedly received little to no help from Mr. Kenya, was barely even acknowledged when it was clearly her drive for academic excellence which inspired Obama to pursue a Harvard law degree and her family which provided Obama with the foundation to build a lovely family of his own. Very sad.

As for the tea party, I’ll have to get the name and address of Aretha’s milliner because attendance without the head umbrella would be a shame. I’m expecting any day now, we’ll be adding the milliner to the long list of companies we Americans will be owning.
